I am very excited to have the shopping cart up and running! At some point I will redesign the look of the cart and catalog but that will require me to learn some more about web design and that will take a little time. Also, I have been giving this website a total overhaul during the past few weeks and will be adding online shopping capabilities soon. Hoping for smooth sailing with this endeavor! Wish me luck!  ~T

In addition to Andy’s work, there were teapots by Ray and photos by me. Some of these pieces are now just a bit of wrapping paper away from being lovely wedding gifts! Others went home with happy new owners and some are still available at the gallery! The Bostree Gallery is pleased to present this second exhibit of Andrew Boswell’s newest teapot designs. Unique and exquisite tea sets comprised of teapots, sugars, creamers and mugs will be featured.

Porcelain teapot, true blue glaze, by Andrew Boswell.

Andrew’s robust porcelain forms are accentuated by high fired glazes applied in multi-layers to create surfaces rich in depth. Color schemes include ohata, pictured top left, true blue, pictured bottom left, celedon green, winter white and gloss black. These glazes, reflecting the influence of historic Chinese pottery, Japanese pottery and Venetian glass, complement Andrew’s modern yet classic aesthetic.

The exhibit and reception will be held in the Bostree Gallery special event room, next door to the gallery.

The Bostree Gallery is pleased to host this exhibit of Andrew Boswell’s most recent work. New pieces to be included in the exhibit are dinnerware, platters, nesting bowls and colanders among others. Andrew’s pottery, hand thrown on the potter’s wheel, is exclusively grolleg porcelain, a very white, fine, sometimes translucent clay body. His glazes, meticulously layered in just the right way, create colors and textures that flow to accentuate his fluid and graceful forms.

The exhibit will be on display in the Bostree Gallery Special Event Room, 1361 Kings Highway, Sugar Loaf, NY (for GPS use Chester, NY)

The spring is in full swing, and full bloom! Andrew has created a number of new vases to showcase nature’s latest creations to brighten your home or office. He is also working on some hanging planters and sets of bowls which, are reminiscent of lotus blossoms especially when stacked largest to smallest, one atop the other. Diane’s crystaline glaze pottery always suggests flowers due to the pansy shaped growth of the crystals in the glaze on the surface of the pots. We will be featuring a selection of Diane’s crystaline glaze bowls and vases during the show. We hope you will join us for this celebration of spring!
